A rare very high grade example of the $10 Gold Certificate The note is characterized by excellent color, strong embossing and as notated by PPQ, "Premium Paper Quality". The PPG designation is one of the most sought after indicators of premium quality to the dedicated currency collector. To achieve this designation the note must in every manner appear completely original with outstanding paper quality and free of any sign of restoration. The note must retain all signs of fully original paper quality, such as paper wave, embossing, and bold ink color and eye appeal, and also have above average paper for the grade that is free of defects such as tears, pinholes, or other problems.
